Kevin Dunn
Kevin Dunn (born August 24, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois) is an American screen actor recognized for his steady presence in film and television since the 1980s. Often cast as authoritative, sharp-edged, or quietly comedic figures, Dunn has built a career on memorable supporting turns that add texture and credibility to ensemble stories.
His film work spans acclaimed dramas and large-scale studio hits. Dunn appeared in Mississippi Burning as Agent Bird and portrayed political operative Charles Colson in Nixon, demonstrating a knack for grounded, character-driven performances. He also featured in Ridley Scott’s historical epic 1492: Conquest of Paradise as Captain Mendez.
On the blockbuster side, Dunn is widely known for playing Ron Witwicky in the Transformers franchise, while also appearing in Godzilla as Colonel Hicks and the cult favorite Small Soldiers as Stuart Abernathy. His range extends to offbeat comedy-drama with I ♥ Huckabees and to contemporary romance in Vicky Cristina Barcelona as Mark Nash.
