Kevin Hart

Kevin Hart (also known as Kevin Darnell Hart) is an American actor, stand-up comedian, and producer, born on July 6, 1979, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He sharpened his comedic voice on the club circuit, building momentum through amateur competitions before breaking into mainstream entertainment in the early 2000s.

His first major on-screen boost came with a recurring role on Judd Apatow’s TV series Undeclared. From there, Hart expanded into film with early credits including Paper Soldiers (as Shawn) and the Scary Movie franchise, playing CJ in Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4. He also showed his range in projects like Meet Dave (as No. 17) and Fool's Gold (as Bigg Bunny).

As his profile rose, Hart became a consistent box-office presence while continuing to headline stand-up specials and albums, helping cement his reputation as one of the era’s most recognizable comedic performers. He has also appeared as himself in comedy showcases such as All Star Comedy Jam and has embraced meta-comedy in projects like Die Hart.

Beyond acting, Hart has pushed into producing and media ventures, including launching the Laugh Out Loud Network in partnership with Lionsgate. In 2015, Time named him to its Time 100 list of the world’s most influential people.
