Kevin Turen

Kevin Turen (August 16, 1979 – November 12, 2023) was an American producer whose work spanned ambitious independent films and headline-making premium television. Born in New York City, he became known for backing director-driven projects while helping shape some of the most talked-about series of the 2020s.

In cinema, Turen’s producing credits ranged from sharp financial drama to emotionally intense character studies. He helped bring to the screen films such as Arbitrage (2012) and Pieces of a Woman (2020), and later supported high-profile studio and genre titles including Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021) and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022).

He also contributed to modern horror’s resurgence through the X film series (2022–2024), aligning commercial appeal with a filmmaker-forward sensibility. Turen’s projects often balanced bold storytelling with polished execution, reflecting a producer’s instinct for both craft and audience.

On television, he served as an executive producer on HBO’s Euphoria and The Idol, cementing his reputation as a key behind-the-scenes force in contemporary pop culture. Turen died in 2023, leaving a body of work that continues to resonate across film and TV.
