Kunal Kapoor

Kunal Kapoor (born October 18, 1977, in Bombay/Mumbai, India) is an Indian screen actor best known for his work in Hindi cinema. Raised in Mumbai in a Punjabi family with roots in Amritsar, Kapoor has built a career defined by thoughtful character choices and an easy, grounded screen presence.

He gained wide recognition as Aslam Khan in Rang De Basanti, and went on to headline and support a range of genres—from the political thriller Lamhaa (as Aatif) to the action franchise Don 2 (as Sameer Ali). His filmography also includes Aaja Nachle (Imran Pathan), Bachna Ae Haseeno (Joginder Singh Ahluwalia), Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana (Omi), Hattrick (Sarabjeet “Saby” Singh), and Meenaxi: Tale of 3 Cities (Kameshwar Mathur).

Off screen, Kapoor’s personal life drew public attention when he married Naina Bachchan—Amitabh Bachchan’s niece—in February 2015. The wedding was held as a private family ceremony in Seychelles.
