Kurt Wimmer

Kurt Wimmer (born March 9, 1964, in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American screen artist best known for his work as a writer, while also contributing as a producer and director across film and television.

Wimmer built his reputation through high-concept genre storytelling, often blending action, sci-fi, and dystopian themes. His name is frequently associated with projects that emphasize stylized worlds and tightly engineered narratives, helping him stand out among modern Hollywood screenwriters.

In addition to writing, he has appeared on screen in select productions. His notable credits include appearances in Ultraviolet (as Speak-No-Evil Phage) and Equilibrium (as Rebel Victim), as well as the behind-the-scenes feature UV Protection: The Making of 'Ultraviolet' (as Self – Director).
