Lionel Boyce

Lionel Boyce (born May 9, 1991, in Los Angeles, California) is an American screen actor and writer whose work spans offbeat comedy, independent projects, and prestige television. He has become widely recognized for portraying Marcus Brooks on the acclaimed series The Bear, bringing a grounded warmth to the show’s high-pressure world.

Before his breakout on TV, Boyce built a following in the Los Angeles creative scene as “L-Boy,” connected to the alternative hip-hop collective Odd Future. That early background in music and DIY artistry helped shape a versatile on-screen presence—comfortable with improvisation, character work, and ensemble storytelling.
