Liza Koshy
Liza Koshy (born March 31, 1996, in Houston, Texas) is an American screen artist and media personality also known as Elizabeth Shaila Koshy. She first broke through with short-form comedy online before building a massive YouTube presence, with billions of views across her channels and a trophy case that includes multiple Streamy and Teen Choice Awards, plus a Kids’ Choice Award.
After gaining momentum on Vine, Koshy transitioned into acting with her feature debut in Boo! A Madea Halloween (2016). She quickly expanded into scripted series work, including Freakish and the YouTube Premium mystery hit Escape the Night, while also stepping into mainstream TV as a correspondent on MTV’s Total Request Live.
Koshy’s creator-to-showrunner leap came with Liza on Demand, which she co-created, produced, and headlined, helping cement her as a crossover talent. She also hosted Nickelodeon’s revived Double Dare, earning a Daytime Emmy nomination, and appeared in the Netflix film Work It.
In recent years, she’s continued to diversify with live-action and voice roles, including Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (voice), Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken, Crow: The Legend, Cat Person, Good Burger 2, and A Family Affair, alongside appearances like The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday. She was also recognized by Forbes and Time for her influence in entertainment.
