Lori Alan
Lori Alan (also credited as Lori Alan Denniberg and Lori Allen) is an American screen actress, voice performer, writer, producer, and stand-up comedian, born July 18, 1966, in Potomac, Maryland. She is best known to global audiences for voicing Pearl Krabs on SpongeBob SquarePants, a signature role she has carried across the franchise’s many series and specials.
Alan’s voice work spans animation, games, and comedy, including Diane Simmons on Family Guy, the Invisible Woman in Fantastic Four, and The Boss in the Metal Gear video game series, along with multiple characters on Hey Arnold!. Her film credits include The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, Comic Book: The Movie, and Pixar’s Inside Out (additional voices).
She began performing as a child, first appearing in a Shakey’s Pizza television commercial and stepping onto the stage in a community-theater production of Annie Get Your Gun. A longtime member of New York’s Gotham City Improv (Groundlings East), Alan later studied at Emerson College and graduated with honors from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
