Maisie Williams

Maisie Williams (born April 15, 1997, in Bristol, England) is an English screen artist best known for bringing fierce intelligence and vulnerability to modern genre storytelling. Also credited as Margaret Constance Williams, she emerged as a standout talent early in her career and quickly became one of her generation’s most recognizable performers.

Williams made her on-screen debut in 2011 as Arya Stark in HBO’s Game of Thrones, a defining role that earned widespread acclaim and major awards attention. Building on that success, she expanded her television range with appearances in Doctor Who, led the tense TV film Cyberbully as Casey Jacobs, and later headlined series such as Two Weeks to Live. She also stepped into music-biopic territory as punk icon Jordan in Pistol and lent her voice to the animated sci-fi series Gen:Lock.

On film, Williams drew praise for her early feature work in The Falling as Lydia Lamont, and continued with varied projects including The Book of Love (Millie Pearlman), Heatstroke (Josie), Gold (Abbie), and Sinner v. Saints (Joyce McKinney). Her credits also include Game of Thrones The IMAX Experience and the short The Olympic Ticket Scalper as Scraggly Sue.

Beyond acting, Williams has shown a strong interest in creative community-building, co-developing the platform Daisie to help artists and emerging creators connect and share opportunities.
