Marc Menchaca

Marc Menchaca (born October 10, 1975, in San Angelo, Texas) is an American screen actor, writer, and director known for intense, grounded performances across film and television. He has also worked behind the camera, notably co-writing, co-directing, and starring in This Is Where We Live, a Heartland Film Festival selection that helped spotlight his multi-hyphenate range.

Menchaca’s path began with a growing interest in performance during high school, before he studied English at Texas A&M University and appeared in his first stage production. He later trained in New York, including a summer program at the Circle in the Square Theatre School, and is an alumnus of the William Esper Studio—foundations that shaped his naturalistic style.

On the festival circuit, he earned Best Actor recognition for leading roles in films such as Reparation and #LIKE, and drew further acclaim for his work in the thriller Alone. Mainstream audiences also know him from recurring and regular TV roles, including Ozark, The Sinner, Manifest, and the Stephen King adaptation The Outsider.

His notable screen credits include Sick, The Creator, The Reunion, Screen Door Jesus, and Barron’s Cove. Menchaca is of Mexican descent on his paternal side and married British actor Lena Headey in 2022.
