Marcus Bromander

Marcus Bromander (born September 9, 1990), widely known online as PuffballsUnited, is an American artist, animator, game designer, and musician whose work helped shape a generation of web-born indie games. He is best recognized as the creator of the Henry Stickmin series, a comedic, choice-driven franchise that grew from Flash-era roots into a modern cult favorite.

After years of making Flash animations, Bromander began releasing games in the late 2000s, building momentum with early projects before launching Breaking the Bank and expanding the Henry Stickmin saga across multiple entries through the 2010s. Beyond designing and animating the games, he also handled much of the music and provided voices for the male cast—using shifts in accent and pitch to give distinct personality to each character.

He later co-founded indie studio Innersloth, where he continued working as an artist, animator, and designer. The studio’s multiplayer hit Among Us surged to global popularity in 2020, and Bromander contributed key creative elements, including maps like Polus and The Airship, the latter serving as a playful nod to Henry Stickmin.

Outside production, Bromander has shared his process with fans through streams and developer commentary, offering behind-the-scenes insight into how his games are built and refined.
