Mark Canton
Mark Canton (born June 19, 1949, in New York City) is an American film producer and studio executive whose career spans decades of mainstream Hollywood filmmaking. Known for shaping commercial, audience-driven projects, Canton has built a reputation for guiding films from development through release with a producer’s eye for scale and storytelling.
Beyond his behind-the-camera work, Canton has also appeared in a number of film documentaries and bonus features, offering firsthand context on how major productions come together. His on-screen contributions include appearances as himself in Caddyshack: The 19th Hole and Caddyshack: The Inside Story, where he reflects on the legacy and production history of the classic comedy.
