Mark Heyman

Mark Heyman (born November 26, 1979, in Santa Fe, New Mexico) is an American screenwriter and film producer recognized for crafting psychologically sharp, character-driven stories across film and television. Working primarily as a writer, he has built a reputation for blending emotional intensity with genre tension.

Heyman is widely associated with the acclaimed thriller Black Swan (2010), which helped cement his profile in contemporary cinema. He later contributed to the offbeat, heartfelt drama The Skeleton Twins (2014), and returned to horror with The Boogeyman (2023), showcasing a range that moves comfortably from intimate indie storytelling to mainstream suspense.

Beyond features, Heyman expanded into series work as the creator of Strange Angel, a Paramount+ drama that ran for two seasons. His screen career also includes the credit Within the Ring, where he is listed as appearing as himself.
