Mark Swift is an American screenwriter and film producer best known for his long-running creative partnership with fellow writer Damien Shannon. Working as a team, the duo has helped shape modern studio genre fare, blending sharp character beats with crowd-pleasing spectacle.

Swift and Shannon are widely recognized for writing the 2009 reboot of Friday the 13th, and later bringing their big-screen sensibilities to the 2017 adaptation of Baywatch. Their work has made them familiar names to fans of horror and high-concept mainstream entertainment.

Beyond scripted features, Swift has also appeared as himself in prominent film-history documentaries, including Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th, Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, and Genesis: Development Hell, reflecting his close ties to genre filmmaking and its behind-the-scenes culture.

Looking ahead, Swift and Shannon are credited with the screenplay for Send Help, a horror film slated for 2026 with Sam Raimi directing. The pair is also attached to write a remake of the 1978 horror title Magic, with Raimi set to produce.
