Matthew Fogel

Matthew Fogel (also credited as Matt Fogel) is an American screenwriter recognized for shaping some of the most visible animated family films of the last decade. Working primarily in studio animation, he has helped translate big, brand-driven worlds into fast, joke-forward stories built for wide audiences.

Fogel is best known for writing The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023), a blockbuster adaptation that brings Nintendo’s iconic characters to the big screen.
