Matty Matheson
Matty Matheson (born February 7, 1982, in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada) is a Canadian screen presence whose larger-than-life energy has made him recognizable far beyond the kitchen. Nicknamed “The Flavour Lord” and also known as Chef Matty Matheson, he built a public profile by blending food culture, humor, and unfiltered storytelling into a distinct on-camera persona.
Before his acting credits took off, Matheson became a prominent chef and digital personality, including work as executive chef at Toronto’s Parts & Labour. He gained wider attention through frequent appearances with Vice’s food platform Munchies, and later as the host of Viceland series such as It’s Suppertime and Dead Set on Life, where his travel-and-food approach helped cement his mainstream appeal.
On screen, Matheson has expanded into acting and voice roles, including Neil Fak on The Bear. His film and animation work includes Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie (voice of Cookie Bobby) and upcoming voice parts like Dr. Nutcase in Toy Story 5, alongside roles in titles such as Born to Lose and October.
He also appears as himself across pop-culture staples like Hot Ones and A Little Late with Lilly Singh, showcasing a crossover career that connects culinary fame with contemporary entertainment.
