Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep (born June 22, 1949, in Summit, New Jersey) is an American screen artist celebrated for a career defined by range, precision, and emotional clarity. Also known as Mary Louise Streep, she has become a benchmark for modern acting, praised for her ability to transform through character work, voice, and accent.

Across more than five decades on screen, Streep has built a filmography that moves effortlessly between drama, romance, and literary adaptation. Her notable credits include The Hours as Clarissa Vaughan, Out of Africa as Karen Christence Dinesen Blixen, and The Bridges of Madison County as Francesca Johnson.
