Fassbender’s work in Shame earned him the Volpi Cup for Best Actor, and his performances in 12 Years a Slave and Steve Jobs brought Academy Award nominations. After stepping back to pursue competitive auto racing, he returned to the screen with The Killer and Black Bag. He has been married to actor Alicia Vikander since 2017 and they have two children.
