Michael Gaston

Michael Gaston (born November 5, 1962, in Walnut Creek, California) is an American screen and stage actor known for bringing authority and tension to character-driven roles across film and television. Often cast as agents, officers, and officials, Gaston has built a steady career defined by grounded performances and sharp scene work.

On TV, he’s widely recognized for recurring turns in major dramas, including playing Agent Quinn on Prison Break, appearing as Gray Anderson on Jericho, and showing up in early The Sopranos as a troubled compulsive gambler. His résumé also spans staples of American television such as Law & Order, Fringe, The West Wing, The Practice, and 24, with lighter credits in comedies like Ally McBeal and Malcolm in the Middle.

In film, Gaston has accumulated notable supporting parts, including D.A. Hunt in Lonely Hearts, General Tommy Franks in Oliver Stone’s W., and roles in Ransom, Bless the Child, Far from Heaven, Hackers, High Crimes, and Body of Lies. He has also maintained a parallel theater career with Broadway and off-Broadway work.
