Michael Spierig
Michael Spierig (born April 29, 1976, in Germany) is an Australian screen artist best known for directing as one half of The Spierig Brothers, the shared banner for twin filmmakers Michael and Peter Spierig. Working as a closely linked duo, they have built a reputation for genre-driven storytelling, often combining directing with writing and producing duties.
As a creative partnership, the Spierig Brothers are recognized for their hands-on approach to filmmaking, shaping projects from concept to screen and balancing cinematic craft with high-concept ideas. Their international profile reflects a career that spans multiple roles behind the camera, with Michael Spierig frequently credited for direction while collaborating in tandem with his brother.
