Michelle Monaghan
Michelle Monaghan (also credited as Michelle Lynn Monaghan) is an American screen actress born on March 23, 1976, in Winthrop, Iowa. After starting out as a model, she moved into acting and quickly began landing television work that put her on casting radars in the early 2000s.
Her first notable on-screen appearances came in 2001 with roles on Young Americans and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. That same year she made her feature debut in Perfume (2001), then followed with a small part in the thriller Unfaithful (2002) as Lindsay.
Monaghan’s career accelerated when she joined the ensemble of the TV drama Boston Public, opening the door to prominent film roles. She became widely recognized for performances in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Harmony Faith Lane) and Gone Baby Gone (Angie Gennaro), balancing sharp wit with grounded emotional range.
She later expanded her mainstream profile with Made of Honor (Hannah), The Bourne Supremacy (Kim), and Mr. & Mrs. Smith (Gwen). For many viewers, she is best known as Julia in Mission: Impossible III and the broader Mission: Impossible franchise.
