Michelle Pfeiffer

Michelle Pfeiffer (also credited as Michele Pfeiffer and Michelle Marie Pfeiffer) is an American screen actor born on April 29, 1958, in Santa Ana, California. A defining star of 1980s and 1990s Hollywood, she became known for combining classic glamour with sharp, emotionally precise performances, earning major industry honors and multiple top-award nominations.

After early TV and film work, Pfeiffer landed her first leading role in Grease 2 (1982). Her mainstream breakthrough arrived as Elvira in Scarface, followed by standout turns in Married to the Mob and Dangerous Liaisons as Madame Marie de Tourvel. She continued to expand her range with films like The Russia House (Katya Orlova) and Ladyhawke (Isabeau d'Anjou).

In the 1990s she became one of the era’s most in-demand performers, memorably reinventing Selina Kyle / Catwoman in Batman Returns. She later balanced acting with production work and, after periods of reduced output, returned to high-profile projects in the 2000s and beyond, including Stardust as Lamia and acclaimed later-career roles across film and television.
