Mike Myers
Mike Myers (also credited as Michael John Myers) is a Canadian screen comedian and actor born May 25, 1963, in Scarborough, Ontario. Known for character-driven satire and elastic impressions, he has earned major industry recognition, including multiple MTV Movie & TV Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
After early work on Canadian television, Myers broke through internationally during a six-season run on Saturday Night Live (1989–1995), where his writing helped secure an Emmy. He then became a defining comedy presence of the 1990s and 2000s, headlining the Wayne’s World films and the Austin Powers trilogy—often playing several roles at once, including Austin Powers and Dr. Evil.
Myers later voiced the lovable ogre in DreamWorks’ Shrek franchise, reprising Shrek across sequels such as Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, and Shrek Forever After. He also took on family-friendly live action as the title character in The Cat in the Hat.
Honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (2002), Myers was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2017 for his influential comedic work as an actor, writer, and producer.
