Miles Teller

Miles Teller (also credited as Miles Alexander Teller) is an American screen actor born on February 20, 1987, in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. He first drew attention with his feature debut in the indie drama Rabbit Hole, establishing an early reputation for grounded, emotionally direct performances.

As his profile grew, Teller moved into crowd-pleasing studio fare while keeping a sharp coming-of-age edge. He appeared in titles like Footloose, played a version of himself in Project X, and headlined the comedy 21 & Over. Breakout momentum followed with The Spectacular Now, and he reached franchise audiences as Peter Hayes in the Divergent films.

Critical acclaim surged with his intense, career-defining turn in Whiplash, a performance that cemented him as a leading man capable of high-wire drama. He later expanded into big-budget territory with Fantastic Four and the biographical crime comedy War Dogs.

In recent years, Teller’s mainstream resurgence was fueled by Top Gun: Maverick. On television, he has taken on darker, prestige-leaning projects including Too Old to Die Young and the miniseries The Offer, continuing to balance star power with risk-taking roles.
