Mo McRae

Mo McRae (also credited as Mo or ) is an American screen artist from Los Angeles, California, born July 4, 1982. Working across film and television, he has built a career as an actor, director, and producer, recognized for grounded performances and a steadily expanding creative voice behind the camera.

McRae became widely known to TV audiences through his recurring role as Tyler on FX’s Sons of Anarchy. On the big screen, he drew attention as Leon Hayes in Gridiron Gang (2006), and has continued to appear in a range of projects that highlight his versatility, including The Butler (as Eldridge Huggins), Wild (as Jimmy Carter), Gully (as Otis), and Red Right Hand (as Duke).

He also headlined the Fox series Pitch, bringing a confident, contemporary presence to network drama. Beyond acting, McRae has increasingly shaped stories from the director’s chair, marking a major milestone with his feature directorial debut A Lot of Nothing (2022).

With credits spanning indie dramas and studio productions, Mo McRae continues to evolve as a multifaceted talent—equally at home delivering memorable character work and steering ambitious projects as a filmmaker.
