Mr. Lawrence

Mr. Lawrence (born January 1, 1969, in East Brunswick, New Jersey) is an American screen artist best known for his voice work, writing, and animation across modern TV comedy. Also credited as Doug Lawrence and Douglas Lawrence Osowski, he has become a familiar creative force behind some of Nickelodeon’s most enduring characters.

He first gained wide recognition through his contributions to Rocko’s Modern Life, helping shape its offbeat tone as a writer and performer. That blend of sharp humor and character-driven storytelling carried into his long-running association with SpongeBob SquarePants, where he has voiced the scheming Plankton since 1999, alongside fan favorites like Larry the Lobster and a rotating roster of supporting voices.

Across specials and films, Mr. Lawrence’s range is showcased in credits such as SpongeBob SquarePants Presents The Tidal Zone, Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie, SpongeBob’s Truth or Square, and Plankton: The Movie, often juggling multiple roles in a single project. He’s also appeared in titles like Joey to the World and Hairballs, underscoring a career defined by versatility and comedic timing.
