Namit Malhotra
Namit Malhotra (born April 2, 1976, in Mumbai, Maharashtra) is an Indian film and television producer and media business leader known for building global-scale visual effects and post-production capabilities.
He is the founder of Prime Focus Limited, a major integrated media services company, and serves as a non-executive director. Through Prime Focus, Malhotra helped expand end-to-end solutions for filmmaking, spanning production support, post, and advanced image workflows.
Malhotra is also the chief executive officer of DNEG, the British-Indian studio recognized for visual effects, animation, and stereo conversion. Under his leadership, DNEG has become a key partner for international film and streaming projects, contributing to the industry’s shift toward effects-driven storytelling.
Blending creative production insight with executive strategy, Malhotra’s career sits at the intersection of cinema and technology—positioning him as a prominent figure in how modern movies are made and finished.
