Natasha Rothwell
Natasha Rothwell (born October 18, 1980, in Wichita, Kansas) is an American screen artist celebrated for pairing sharp comedy with emotional honesty. Working across film and television, she has built a reputation as both a compelling performer and a distinctive voice behind the camera.
Rothwell became widely known through HBO’s Insecure, where she contributed as a writer and supervising producer while also appearing as a series regular. That multi-hyphenate breakthrough helped position her as a key creative force in modern TV comedy, blending character-driven storytelling with cultural specificity.
She later reached an even broader audience with HBO’s The White Lotus, earning a Primetime Emmy nomination for her acclaimed supporting performance. In 2024, she expanded her creative footprint again with How to Die Alone on Hulu, a scripted series she created and leads, produced under Onyx Collective/ABC Productions.
On the big screen and in voice work, Rothwell’s credits span studio and animated projects, including Wonka (Piper Benz), Wish (voice of Sakina), Baby Shark’s Big Movie (voice of Mommy Shark), Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (Rachel), and Love, Simon (Ms. Albright).
