Neal Purvis
Neal Purvis (born September 9, 1961, in the UK) is a British screenwriter best known for his long-running work on the James Bond franchise. As a writing-focused screen artist, Purvis has become closely associated with shaping modern 007 storytelling for global audiences.
He is widely recognized for co-writing the last four Bond films alongside his long-time creative partner Robert Wade, a collaboration that helped define the tone and momentum of the series in its contemporary era. Their partnership is frequently cited as one of the key behind-the-scenes constants in Bond’s recent cinematic evolution.
Beyond feature screenwriting, Purvis has also appeared as himself in several Bond-related documentaries and specials, including The Sound of 007, Becoming Bond, and Die Another Day: From Script to Screen. Additional credits such as The Road to Casino Royale and Ian Fleming's Incredible Creation reflect his ongoing connection to the franchise’s history and cultural legacy.
