Nick Antosca
Nick Antosca (also credited as Nicholas Jonathan Antosca) is an American writer, producer, and novelist, born January 23, 1983, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Known primarily for his screenwriting, he has built a reputation for bold, character-driven storytelling across film and television.
Antosca is best recognized as the creator and showrunner of the horror anthology Channel Zero (2016–2018), a series praised for translating unsettling modern folklore into cinematic, episodic narratives. He later brought a similarly precise, psychologically focused approach to true-crime drama as the creator and showrunner of A Friend of the Family.
Expanding his range, Antosca co-created and co-showran Hulu’s breakout limited series The Act (2019), and went on to co-create and showrun Netflix’s surreal thriller Brand New Cherry Flavor (2021). Across these projects, he’s become a distinctive voice in contemporary genre television—mixing dread, empathy, and dark humor with sharp structural control.
Among his notable appearances, he is credited as himself in James Salter: A Sport and a Pastime, reflecting his broader connection to literary and screen storytelling.
