Nick Frost

Nick Frost (born 28 March 1972 in Dagenham, London) is an English actor, comedian, and screenwriter known for blending big-hearted humor with sharp comic timing. Also credited as Nicholas John Frost, he became a standout presence in British comedy through memorable, character-driven performances.

Frost first gained wide attention on television as Mike Watt in the cult sitcom Spaced, a key collaboration that helped define his on-screen partnership with Simon Pegg and director Edgar Wright. That creative trio later carried the same energetic chemistry into films that became modern genre-comedy favorites.

Among Frost’s most recognizable roles are Ed in Shaun of the Dead and PC (later Sgt.) Danny Butterman in Hot Fuzz, where his warmth and comedic sincerity anchor the chaos around him. He also played Clive Gollings in Paul, expanding his profile for international audiences.

Beyond live-action, Frost has lent his voice to animated projects including The Adventures of Tintin (as Thomson) and Monster Family 2 (as Frank Wishbone). His filmography also includes credits such as Kinky Boots and Timestalker, reflecting a career built on versatility within comedy, action, and family entertainment.
