Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman (also credited as Nicole Hokulani and Nicole Mary Kidman) is an Australian-American actor and producer born on June 20, 1967, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Celebrated for her versatility across film and television, she has remained a fixture among the industry’s top-earning performers since the late 1990s, earning major honors including an Academy Award, BAFTA, Emmy Awards, and multiple Golden Globes.

Kidman began acting in Australian projects as a teenager before breaking out with Dead Calm and the miniseries Bangkok Hilton. International attention followed with Days of Thunder (as Dr. Claire Lewicki), and she soon became known for bold leading turns in titles such as To Die For (as Suzanne Stone), Batman Forever (as Dr. Chase Meridian), and Eyes Wide Shut (as Alice Harford).

Her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours earned her the Oscar for Best Actress, and she continued balancing prestige dramas with daring independent work, including Dogville (as Grace Margaret Mulligan) and studio hits like The Interpreter (as Silvia Broome). On TV, she won Emmy recognition for Big Little Lies, also serving as an executive producer.

Beyond the screen, Kidman is known for long-running humanitarian work with UNICEF and UNIFEM, and she founded the production banner Blossom Films. In 2024, she became the first Australian actor to receive the AFI Life Achievement Award.
