Noomi Rapace

Noomi Rapace (born December 28, 1979, in Hudiksvall, Sweden) is a Swedish screen actor known for fearless, physically committed performances and emotionally complex characters. Also credited as Hilda Noomi Norén and Noomi Norén, she built her reputation in Scandinavian cinema before breaking through worldwide.

Rapace became an international sensation playing hacker-outsider Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish Millennium adaptations: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest. The role brought major awards recognition, including wins such as the Guldbagge and Satellite Award, plus high-profile nominations across BAFTA, Emmy, and European honors.

After that success, she expanded into English-language films and Hollywood productions, moving fluidly between prestige drama, thrillers, and science fiction. Her credits include Daisy Diamond, Beyond, and the genre-defining Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, as well as the multi-role showcase What Happened to Monday.

In recent years, Rapace has continued to pick bold projects, from the haunting folk tale You Won’t Be Alone (as Bosilka) to action-driven titles like Assassin Club (as Falk / Agent Vos). Across languages and industries, she remains a standout for intensity, range, and risk-taking choices.
