Olivia-Mai Barrett

Olivia-Mai Barrett (born May 10, 1996) is a London-born English screen actress known for bright, character-led performances across family entertainment and drama. She first built momentum through music videos before breaking through on Disney, fronting the series Penny on M.A.R.S. as Penny and appearing on the Disney Channel in Alex & Co..

In 2019, Barrett delivered a standout turn in the BBC mini-series Soon Gone: A Windrush Chronicle, appearing as Michaela Williams in the final episode. The production explores life in the UK across generations of Caribbean heritage, and Barrett’s work drew notable praise for the empathy and understanding she brought to the role.

Her connection to the Windrush story is personal as well as professional: with a mixed-race father and a Jamaican grandfather, elements of the series reflect her own family history. She continued expanding her screen profile with the 2020 feature My Dad's Christmas Date as Jules.
