Omar Sy

Omar Sy (also credited as Omar, 오마르 시, and オマール・シー) is a French screen actor born on January 20, 1978, in Trappes, Yvelines, France. Rising from comedy to international stardom, he became a defining presence in modern French cinema through his charisma, timing, and emotional range.

Sy first gained wide recognition as one half of the popular duo Omar et Fred with Fred Testot, a partnership that showcased his sharp comedic instincts and made him a familiar face to French audiences. His global breakthrough came with The Intouchables, directed by Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano.
