Orville Peck

Orville Peck (born January 6, 1988, in Johannesburg, South Africa) is the stage persona of Daniel Pitout, a screen and music artist whose mystique is amplified by his signature mask and a carefully guarded public identity. Based across the U.S. and Canada, Peck has built a distinctive presence that bridges modern Americana with classic showmanship.

He broke through with the 2019 debut album Pony, followed by the Show Pony EP in 2020. His second studio set, Bronco, arrived in 2022, and after stepping back from the spotlight in 2023, he returned with Stampede in 2024. Critics have highlighted his resonant bass-baritone and cinematic blend of rockabilly, blues, and atmospheric guitar textures.

On screen, Peck is frequently featured as himself in music and TV specials, including Willie Nelson 90: Long Story Short, Shania Twain: Not Just a Girl, and Miley Cyrus Presents Stand by You, as well as appearances connected to RuPaul's Drag Race. He has also been credited in performance-focused projects like Orville Peck: live at Austin City Limits Music Festival 2024.

Expanding his acting profile, Peck made his Broadway debut on March 31, 2025, stepping into the role of the Emcee in the revival of Cabaret at the August Wilson Theatre, opposite Eva Noblezada as Sally Bowles.
