Osgood Perkins

Osgood Perkins (also credited as Osgood Robert Perkins II; known internationally as Осгуд Перкінс and آزگود پرکینز) is an American screen artist and filmmaker, born February 2, 1974, in New York City. Best known today for directing, he first entered the industry as a child actor, stepping into an iconic legacy by playing Young Norman in Psycho II.

Perkins continued acting across film and television, building a varied résumé that includes roles in Dead & Breakfast, La Cucina, and Star Trek (as an Enterprise communications officer). He has also appeared in genre and indie projects such as Erosion, Removal, Quigley, and The Utah Murder Project, showing a steady pull toward darker, offbeat storytelling.

In the 2010s, Perkins shifted his focus behind the camera, making his feature directing debut with the horror film The Blackcoat's Daughter (2015). He has since become closely associated with atmospheric, character-driven horror through films like I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, Gretel & Hansel, Longlegs, and The Monkey. He also co-founded the production company Phobos with producer Chris Ferguson.
