Paddy Considine

Paddy Considine (also credited as Patrick George Considine and “PT Kommandor”) is an English screen artist born on 5 September 1973 in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire. Celebrated for grounded, often morally complex characters, he has built a career that moves fluidly between indie intensity and mainstream storytelling—while also working as a director, writer, and musician.

His breakthrough came through an early partnership with filmmaker Shane Meadows, starting with A Room for Romeo Brass, followed by standout film work in Last Resort, In America, 24 Hour Party People, and Doctor Sleep. He later reached wider audiences with roles in Hot Fuzz, Cinderella Man, and The Bourne Ultimatum, where his performances brought sharp realism to big productions.

Considine’s creative reach extends behind the camera: his short Dog Altogether earned major honors, and its feature expansion Tyrannosaur further cemented his reputation as a fearless storyteller. On television, he has led acclaimed projects and, most notably, portrayed King Viserys I Targaryen in House of the Dragon, adding a defining chapter to his career.
