Pedro Pascal

Pedro Pascal (born April 2, 1975, in Santiago, Chile) is a Chilean-American screen actor celebrated for magnetic, emotionally grounded performances—often as protective, reluctant father figures. Also credited as José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal and known by aliases including Alexander Pascal and Pedro Balmaceda, he has become one of the most recognizable faces in contemporary TV and blockbuster cinema.

After years of steady stage and television work, Pascal’s profile surged with scene-stealing turns as Oberyn Martell in HBO’s Game of Thrones and as DEA agent Javier Peña in Netflix’s Narcos. Global stardom followed through leading roles as Din Djarin in Disney+’s The Mandalorian and Joel Miller in HBO’s The Last of Us, a performance that brought major awards attention and cemented his reputation for layered, empathetic intensity.

Pascal’s film career has expanded in parallel, with high-profile projects and eclectic character work. Trailerix highlights credits ranging from Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe (Comandante Veracruz) and The Uninvited (Lucien) to Drive-Away Dolls (Penis Collector) and Gladiator II (General Acacius), plus appearances like the Community table read as Mr. Stone.

Honored with industry recognition and named among Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2023, Pascal continues to balance prestige television, major franchises, and stage work—including a Broadway debut as Edmund in King Lear.
