Peter Chernin

Peter Chernin (born May 29, 1951, in Harrison, New York) is an American producer and media executive whose career spans film, television, and digital entertainment. Known primarily for his work in production, Chernin has also appeared on screen as himself in industry-focused programs and documentaries.

Beyond producing, Chernin is recognized as a businessman and investor with a strong footprint in modern media. In 2010, he founded The Chernin Group (TCG), where he serves as chairman and CEO. Through TCG, he has overseen and supported companies across entertainment, media, and technology, reflecting a strategy that connects storytelling with emerging platforms.

His name surfaces in a range of notable credits, including Reflections on Titanic and Don't Touch That Dial!, both featuring him as “Self,” and Close Up with The Hollywood Reporter. He is also linked to a voice credit on Family Guy, listed as “Peter Chemin.”
