Peter Cullen
Peter Cullen (also credited as Peter Claver Cullen and Peter Cullan) is a Canadian screen and voice artist born on July 28, 1941, in Montréal, Québec. With a career defined by instantly recognizable character work, Cullen became one of the most influential voices in modern pop culture.
He is best known as the heroic voice of Optimus Prime, originating the role in the classic 1980s Transformers animation and later returning to lead a new era of the franchise beginning with the 2007 live-action film Transformers. His performances span key entries such as The Transformers: The Movie, Transformers: The Rebirth, and Transformers: Beginnings, cementing a legacy that bridges generations of fans.
Beyond Cybertron, Cullen brought warmth and melancholy to Eeyore in the Winnie the Pooh universe, including Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse and Boo to You Too! Winnie the Pooh. He has also lent his talent to a wide range of iconic projects, from voicing KARR in Knight Rider to providing the creature vocalizations for Predator (1987).
