Peter New

Peter New (born October 30, 1971, in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian screen artist known for bringing warmth and wit to both live-action roles and standout voice performances. With a career spanning film, television, and animation, he has built a versatile reputation rooted in character-driven work.

New is especially recognized by animation audiences for his contributions to the My Little Pony franchise, voicing Big Macintosh/Big Mac in My Little Pony: Equestria Girls and My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Rainbow Rocks. He has also lent his voice to family favorites including Barbie Presents: Thumbelina as Evan and Barbie: The Pearl Princess as Murray, showcasing a knack for expressive, approachable characters.

On camera, New has appeared in genre and adventure titles such as The Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon as Isaac Preston and the family comedy The Tooth Fairy as Chuck.
