Peyton Manning

Peyton Williams Manning (born March 3, 1976, in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American screen presence best known for appearing as himself across sports documentaries, specials, and televised events. Widely recognized by his nickname “The Sheriff”, Manning’s on-camera work draws directly from a landmark football career that made him one of the defining quarterbacks of his era.

Before becoming a household name in the NFL, Manning starred at the University of Tennessee, where his senior season brought major quarterback honors and helped power the Volunteers to the 1997 SEC Championship. Selected first overall in the 1998 NFL Draft, he became the face of the Indianapolis Colts, turning the franchise into a perennial contender and ultimately leading them to a Super Bowl XLI victory—earning Super Bowl MVP honors.

After a neck injury sidelined him in 2011, Manning returned with the Denver Broncos, guiding them to multiple division titles and finishing his career with a win in Super Bowl 50. His record-setting résumé and legacy were cemented with inductions into the College Football Hall of Fame (2017) and the Pro Football Hall of Fame (2021).

As an actor/featured subject, Manning appears in notable titles including All Madden, Title IX: 37 Words that Changed America, Manning, Brady and Favre: The Quarterbacks, and The Roast of Tom Brady.
