Phil LaMarr
Phil LaMarr (also credited as Phil La Mar, Phil LaMaar, and Phil LaMar) is an American actor, comedian, and prolific voice performer born on January 24, 1967, in Los Angeles, California. With a career spanning live-action film, sketch comedy, animation, and video games, he’s recognized for bringing sharp timing and range to every medium he touches.
LaMarr first broke through to mainstream audiences as one of the original cast members of the influential sketch series MADtv, where his versatility made him a standout. On the big screen, he’s widely remembered for his role as Marvin in Pulp Fiction, a performance that helped cement his place in 1990s pop culture.
Equally celebrated for voice work, LaMarr has become a familiar presence across animation and gaming, contributing to series such as Futurama, Samurai Jack, Static Shock, and DC’s Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. His game credits include major franchises like Star Wars, Metal Gear Solid, and inFAMOUS.
Among his notable roles are Stockman-Fly (voice) in Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Super Shredder, the Guide (voice) in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, and characters in Scooby-Doo! and the Legend of the Vampire and Creepy Freaks.
