Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Priyanka Chopra Jonas (born July 18, 1982, in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India) is an Indian actor and producer whose career spans Bollywood and Hollywood. After winning Miss World 2000, she transitioned into film and became one of India’s most prominent and highest-paid stars, earning major honors including National Film Awards, multiple Filmfare Awards, and the Padma Shri. She has also been recognized globally by outlets such as Time, Forbes, and the BBC.

Chopra’s early screen work quickly showcased her range, with notable appearances in films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (as Rani Singh) and a breakout turn in the thriller Aitraaz (as Sonia Roy). She continued building momentum through varied roles, including Waqt, Kaminey, and the multi-character showcase What’s Your Raashee?, while also featuring in popular titles such as 36 China Town and Taxi No. 9211.

In the U.S., she made history as the first South Asian woman to lead an American network drama with ABC’s Quantico. Through her company Purple Pebble Pictures, she has backed acclaimed projects, and she has expanded her international profile with film and streaming work, including the action series Citadel.

Beyond acting, Chopra has explored music, authored the memoir Unfinished, and supported humanitarian causes—most notably with UNICEF, where she has served as a Goodwill Ambassador. Her marriage to Nick Jonas and their family life also draw significant public attention.
