Randall Park
Randall Park (born March 23, 1974, in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor, writer, director, and filmmaker known for bringing sharp comedy and grounded humanity to both TV and film. He is widely recognized for leading ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat (2015–2020) as Louis Huang, a performance that earned him a 2016 Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy Series.
Before becoming a household name, Park broke through with scene-stealing TV work, including the fan-favorite “Asian Jim” gag on The Office and a recurring turn as Governor Danny Chung on HBO’s Veep. His range extends to feature films such as Dinner for Schmucks and the satire The Interview, where he portrayed Kim Jong Un.
Park also became a prominent face in franchise storytelling as FBI Agent Jimmy Woo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in Ant-Man and the Wasp, WandaVision, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. In the DC universe, he plays Dr. Stephen Shin in Aquaman and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Beyond acting, Park has expanded as a creator: he co-wrote and co-starred in Netflix’s Always Be My Maybe and directed the acclaimed comedy-drama Shortcomings (2023), adding filmmaker momentum to an already versatile career.
