Rashida Jones

Rashida Jones (also credited as Rashida Leah Jones; رشیده جونز) is an American screen artist known for her sharp comedic timing and grounded dramatic work. Born on February 25, 1976, in Los Angeles, California, she has built a career that spans acting, writing, producing, and directing across film, television, and documentary.

She first gained wide attention on TV with a key role on Boston Public, then became a familiar face to comedy audiences through her run on The Office. Jones’ breakout, critically celebrated performance came as Ann Perkins on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, where her warm, understated style helped anchor the ensemble. She later headlined the TBS comedy Angie Tribeca, further cementing her status as a leading comedic presence.

On the film side, Jones has appeared in a range of projects while also expanding behind the camera. She co-wrote Celeste and Jesse Forever and contributed to the story of Toy Story 4. Her directing and producing credits include the series Hot Girls Wanted, and she earned major acclaim as an executive producer on the Netflix documentary Quincy, which won a Grammy for Best Music Film.

Her screen credits also include titles such as Cop Out, The Ten, Now You Know, and Prop 8: The Musical, reflecting a career defined by versatility and creative range.
