Rene Gube
Rene Gube (born December 30, 1979, in Waukegan, Illinois) is an American comedian, actor, and writer known for bringing sharp timing and an everyman edge to both television and film.
He gained wider recognition through his role as Mike “Threepeat” Wen on the TBS workplace sitcom Ground Floor, where his comedic presence helped define the show’s ensemble energy. Alongside acting, Gube’s background in comedy and writing has shaped a screen persona that balances dry humor with grounded character work.
Across his career, Gube has appeared in a range of projects, from the apocalyptic rom-com Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (as Cell-Mate) to contemporary comedies like Your Place or Mine (as Sidney). TV audiences may also recognize him from Superstore (as Warren) and the musical-comedy special Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: Oh My God I Think It’s Over (as Self).
