Rhys Ifans
Rhys Ifans (born July 22, 1967, in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales) is a Welsh screen actor celebrated for turning eccentricity into charm, whether in offbeat comedies or high-profile franchises. Known internationally for scene-stealing character work, he has built a career that moves easily between indie projects and blockbuster storytelling.
He first drew wide attention with memorable roles such as Spike in Notting Hill, Eye Ball Paul in Kevin & Perry Go Large, and parts in films including Human Nature, The 51st State, The Replacements, Hannibal Rising, and Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Trailerix audiences may also recognize him from La Cha Cha as Jeremiah, showcasing his knack for distinctive, lived-in performances.
Ifans later became a familiar face in global franchises, portraying Xenophilius Lovegood in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard in The Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man: No Way Home, as well as Grigori Rasputin in The King’s Man.
On television, his credits include Berlin Station, Elementary as Mycroft Holmes, and HBO’s House of the Dragon as Otto Hightower. Beyond acting, he has fronted rock bands including The Peth and Super Furry Animals.
