Ric Roman Waugh

Ric Roman Waugh (born February 20, 1968, in Los Angeles, California) is an American screen artist best known for directing hard-hitting action and crime films. Over a career that spans work behind and in front of the camera, Waugh has also built credits as a writer, producer, and actor, with early industry experience that included stunt work.

He gained wider recognition with gritty, character-driven features such as Felon (2008), Snitch (2013), and Shot Caller (2017), projects noted for their grounded intensity and procedural detail. Waugh later expanded his mainstream profile by writing and directing Angel Has Fallen (2019), the third entry in the popular Has Fallen franchise.

Before his directing breakthrough, Waugh appeared on screen in roles like Hood in Kuffs, a Car Jacker in Viper, and Jake on Married... with Children, reflecting his hands-on roots in physical, performance-driven filmmaking.

Waugh is also known by alternate names including Ric Waugh and international variants such as Рик Роман Во and 리크 로만 보우. He is the older brother of fellow director Scott Waugh.
